Mike Gravel endorses the NYC 911 Ballot Initiative

Former senator Gravel appeared at Saint Mark's Church in the lower east side of Manhattan for a press conference to officially endorse the New York City 9/11 Ballot Initiative. The Initiative is an effort to create a citizen-based investigation of the events of September 11th.
Many reasons exist for this cause. One is that the 9/11 Commission was not neutral because it contained conflicts of interest. Primarily, that its despotic executive director, Phil Zelikow was tightly knit into the Bush number one and two's circle of power, scratching objectivity off from the group's list of qualities.
As reported by New York Times writer and author Phil Shenon in his book "The Commission", while the 'investigation' was being carried out, Zelikow was quietly consorting over the phone with none other than Karl Rove (the man America trusts!). As Scott McClellan confides the Bush administration's lack of honesty in his new publication, and as the world is ripe with legitimate ideas of possible internal foul play in the events of 9/11, would it really hurt to simply ask a few more questions and acquire greater closure?
The victim's family members who lost their loved ones support this idea, and so should we!

Quotes of Mike Gravel from the press conference
(NYC, 6/17/08):

"The body-politic has a way of protecting itself, whether it’s democrat or republican, “Oh, we’ll investigate, but let’s not go too deep because you be nice to us this time, we’ll be nice to you next time,” and so we saw that with the last commission.
Even some of the commissioners admitted that they did not go deep enough, they did not have the ability to do it, the set up, the fix was in when you had the executive director that came from the loins of Condoleeza Rice.
So when you now have the situation where you can create a commission that does not have a political base, but has a citizen base, now you have an interesting animal to deal with the facts
."

"...that's what this meeting is all about...asserting that you saw something wrong that took place, and you want to address it through using the tool of the initiative, the legislative power of citizenry...
"

Take it away Herman's Hermits!

As Jefferson spins in his grave...

...an extreme right wing radio host commits Nazi-esque political hate speech (see video below). This buffoon is hyping up his listeners to extremely dangerous activity as he calls for the unquestioned execution of peaceful American citizens. We are talking about reasonable human beings who recognize the inconsistencies of the federal government's "official" explanation of the events of September 11th, 2001. Before huffing and puffing about murdering people, perhaps he could simply google "9/11 truth" when he has five minutes of spare time, and read the plethora of peer reviewed scientific research refuting the government's story. Or have a brief conversation with a surviving first responder, or victim's family member who endured the political theater of the laughable Bush-Cheney endorsed "9/11 Commission". Or thought about which players stood to gain from the attacks.

What is happening to the America envisioned by the Founding Fathers?
An America with a modest foreign policy, imbued with the Jeffersonian ideal that dissent is patriotic. A necessary behavior for a healthy democratic republic built upon Godly principles.
The America of liberty, founded upon the Constitutional tenet that its citizens have freedom of speech to their fellow man.
Because a citizen is a soldier fighting at war, should they be shielded from critical information? Especially if it addresses the motivating reasons behind the very war they are risking their lives for? Shouldn't these issues be settled by reasonable discourse, not homicidal caveman-like cravings? Or do we prefer a devolved Stalin America, where a propagandized citizenry aspires to nothing more than becoming acquiescent pawns of elite imperialists?
Whatever fate the United States has in store will be up to its people and their patriotic actions to restore the Constitution and the checks and balances set in place by the Founding Fathers; pioneering men who were truly great, and understood the corrupting nature of absolute power.

Solar Hydrogen: the future of energy?

The following video documents the trend setting home of Mike Strizki, renewable energy pioneer. Living in New Jersey, he fuels his modern living needs completely with two naturally abundant sources; the sun and water. As a fine alloy is a blend of different metals, the best solution to the energy crisis is likely to be an intelligent combination of various sources of green energy, as displayed by this solar-hydrogen system. With 56 solar panels, he is able to power the electrolysis process of breaking water into its constituent parts of hydrogen and oxygen. Mr. Strizki then harvests the separated hydrogen, a highly efficient, clean source of energy, and stores it for later use in holding tanks. The oxygen is released back into the air where it has a beneficial effect on the surrounding environment.
Oil industry execs of the old school way of thinking may be shaking in their boots as this emerging blend of green technologies spells disaster for revenues (water is hard to regulate and profit from, and sunshine is free), but they should take comfort in the fact that there is still a lot of money to be made in this branch of the renewable energy industry, if they decide to evolve. The mass manufactured technology for the home owner or green utility company would become extremely profitable (think Bill Gates). Business entrepreneurs from all over could sell their service of installing streamlined versions of solar hyro energy systems, and periodic maintenance contracts would produce generous profit. This type of modernized, eco-friendly energy industry would also have positive social effects as it would democratize the business of power, doing nature and humanity a giant favor.

Hunger striking for Truth

Arizona state Senator Karen Johnson is calling for John McCain to speak with a man on a hunger strike sitting patiently outside McCain's Arizona headquarters every day. Today is day fourteen without food for Blair Gadsby, a professor of religious studies calling for the Arizonian senator to meet with architect Richard Gage, and physicist Steven Jones to discuss the physical nature of the destruction of the buildings on September 11th, 2001.

According to examination of multiple samples of dust extracted from WTC rubble, in a published peer reviewed report, Steven Jones shows bluntly and dispassionately that "thermite" may have played a role in the WTC collapses. Thermite, which reacts with steel to instantly reach extremely high temperatures, was first used by the military to dematerialize robust enemy tanks. It can also be used to cut (like a hot knife through butter) massive steel beams akin to those integrated into the design of the World Trade Center buildings.

The construction manager of these buildings, Frank DeMartini, states in an interview the improbability of airplanes acting alone to bring down the skyscrapers.

State of the art microscopic analysis of the dust showed the signature byproducts of the thermite-steel reaction.

Aside from the testimonies of over a hundred firefighters witnessing multiple rapid-fire explosions in the WTC buildings prior to their collapse, ...

...an argument giving more credence to the demolition theory concerns the gigantic pools of molten steel which remained for multiple weeks. By the way, 'molten' means means red and slushy liquid metal.

Could a jet fuel fire have created such a high temperature? The answer is a resounding no! Low temperature burning, kerosene based jet fuel could not have possibly melted this much steel. A popular analogous way to think of this is the metal grating on any propane camping stove. Propane burns hotter than standard jet fuel, but the flame does not melt the metal support that holds your pot of boiling water! Logic points to an underreported variable such as thermite which ushered in the required extreme temperatures, triggering the inexplicable virtual free fall speed collapses.

Befriending the quiet

Jon Kabat-Zinn, meditation guide to Nobel Prize winners and professionals in the medical field, speaks to employees at Google about the benefits of taking distracting noise out of the mind and becoming truly aware.
"Meditation" is a broad concept that does not contradict religious faith, and should not solely connote saffron-robed mystics in mountaintop trances. Just having three quiet minutes of wakeful calm and nothingness in your daily life is a form of this edifying meditation.
Mr. Kabat-Zinn offers some helpful tips on tuning in with the inner mind without coming across as new agey and strange. When we have some daily quiet, we make more informed, subconscious-oriented decisions, and are happier.

The ethical issues behind harvesting stem cells could now be ancient history, as it appears that these coveted cells are found in hair follicles as well. Leads me further down the path of thought that our generation may very well be part of a new era of humanity in which lifespans are at least hundreds of years.

American 'Freedom': Quite Paradoxical

Why do those who tout their reverence for "freedom" turn out to be the ones who put in place measures which restrict our individual liberties? This bogus "war on terror" has made sheep of (or better yet, lemmings) the people of the nation which was once the envy of the world.
The oldest trick in the book for autocrats is to instill fear into the masses in turn shaping public perception of them into father-like protectors. Implementations of this idea have resulted in what are called "false flag attacks"; ones in which a foreign entity is framed for an act of war, producing a retaliatory response by the 'victim' entity. Quite frankly, it is a very clever strategy to start war.
Remember the Gulf of Tonkin incident that provoked the Vietnam quagmire, later confirmed to be phony? Hitler did the same thing countless dictators have done in spirit by blaming communists for the burning of the Reichstag. This act created an excuse to pursue and capture political dissidents, furthering the seal of power the Nazi party desired. Hindsight suggests this to have been a Nazi inside job. It has also been documented that the Hitler invaded Poland by deceptive means.
Evidence points to the 9/11 attacks falling into the same category of a long list of historical "false flag attacks". Usually in cases such as these, an acquiescent mainstream media is complicit with government actors in the dissemination of information favorable to the cause of both.
The concept of freedom raises an interesting philosophical question. What is it anyways? When Bush or McCain voice their dogmatic understanding of "freedom", I wonder what it actually is they are talking about. Are we at war, fighting for the freedom to occupy Middle Eastern countries and steal their oil reserves?
We're America! And we're the free-est country on the planet! We want to be free! Free to act upon imperialist policies!
True Americans as a people must reclaim the country that was once ours. A country which was founded upon ideals of individual liberty. Only this time when things are set straight, the dominant force of freedom will not be the kind George Bush and Dick Cheney propagandize. As the Revolutionary Americans fighting Great Britain achieved, we will once again be free from the oppressive policies of an imperialist government. Free to pursue happiness once again.

God, help us.

My Republican rhetoric-o-meter quickly shot to ten and exploded after processing John "The Mac" McCain's address to wrestling fans.

*note the clever video editing to make it appear as if the fans were enthusiastically screaming in support of McCain.

Science and Spirit

For some odd reason there is a prevailing notion that science and spirituality are opposed forces always duking it out for preeminence. The reality however is that these two areas of existence verify, and even complement one another.
There are two camps of people who have created this false dichotomy; the staunch egotistical evolutionists, and the ignorant, closed-minded peddlers of creationism.
(could it be that the truth rests somewhere in between?)
There was a time when the mainstream thinking trend associated scientific breakthrough with gentle spirited men and women, sympathetic to the idea of a loving creative force. Strangely, we as a society now have the conviction that all the best new thoughts and theories emanate from a group of "intelligent" cranky atheists, and this is simply not true!

NYC Ballot Initiative

Even if the doubts of the government "official" explanation of the events of September 11th, 2001 seems like 'conspiracy mumbo jumbo', there is still a lot of legitimate reason to re-investigate what happened. The original 9/11 Commission was stonewalled by the Bush Administration for a whole 14 months until a group of widows from New Jersey decided to do some hardcore lobbying. After reluctantly accepting that this investigation was going to become a reality, it was underfunded and cut short from a truthful verdict by maintaining an unnecessarily stringent time frame. There are to this day a very long list of unanswered questions, some which were far too serious to be ignored. The "Commission" was despotically directed by an eerily sharp witted member of the tight knit Bush circle, Philip Zelikow. Phil had previously worked in the security and foreign policy wing of the Bush Administration and had co-authored a book with Condoleeza Rice.
The following video highlights the New York City 911 Ballot Initiative, which seeks to form an independent, citizen based investigation into 9/11.
